William J. Grant
William J. Grant, known as Bill, is a top civil and criminal trial attorney focusing on personal injury, wrongful death and the wrongfully accused. Prior to becoming an active and preeminent member of the Florida Bar, Mr. Grant taught and coached Football and Wrestling. Mr. Grant’s coaching success includes the crowning of many state and national champions and All-Americans.
Shortly upon graduation from the College of Law, Mr. Grant served as an associate in a Tallahassee law firm serving as counsel for many national banks and the Florida Department of Insurance. Eventually, Mr. Grant was hired away to become a prosecutor in both the Eighteen and Fifth Judicial Circuits where he prosecuted very serious crimes.
Finally in 2004, Mr. Grant went into private practice and today is the Sr. Managing Partner of the Law Office of Grant & Dozier, LLC where the attorneys there often champion the most hopeless of causes obtaining excellent legal results.
Mr. Grant is actively involved in local, state, and national sports and volunteer organizations. Mr. Grant is the Chairman of Florida Amateur Wrestling Association, which is the largest amateur wrestling organization in the State of Florida with over 6,000 active and current members. He also serves as Chairman of the Women’s Olympic Sport Committee for USA Wrestling and also serves on USA Wrestling’s national board of directors and Executive Committee. Mr. Grant has also been designated by the International Wrestling Federation (FILA) as an official with the ranking of “1”.
Mr. Grant also serves on the board of directors for the local YMCA and other organizations. Mr. Grant prides himself on his civic involvement. Mr. Grant also served as County Chairman of a major political party.
Mr. Grant served as the President of the Citrus County Bar Association and as Barrister for the Inns of Court, a lawyer association promoting and mentoring young attorneys.
Mr. Grant is actively involved in his church; Our Lady of Fatima, where he practices his faith with his wife of thirteen years and his three beautiful daughters. Mr. Grant and his family have lived and had substantial contact with Citrus County since 1973.
Throughout Mr. Grant’s legal career he has handled various trial matters at the County Court, Circuit Court, and administrative levels on both a non jury and jury basis. Mr. Grant’s cases have caused the major television networks to request his appearance.
